January 22, 2018 - Beverly HIlls Blochchain, Bitcoin, Ethereum, ICO Transcript

Stephen Meade:

Hi, this is Stephen Meade and as you can tell pretty busy event tonight. This is the Beverly Hills Block Chain event and this our fourth version. It's the fourth month we've had it and just like crypto, it just sort of keeps doubling and doubling and doubling. We had over 200 amazing people here tonight, some great presentations. We had EOS, a crypto one around health care, another one around cannabis. We actually have one called MonetaPro. Again, just been an exciting night. A lot of great people. The events keep growing and growing and we're excited to have you guys participate.

Sean Goodwin:

I'm really passionate about the blockchain because it's a way for communities to get involved and engage. It's a decentralized and distributed ledger system. But more than that it's about inclusion, it's about diversity, it's about communities being able to build solutions that are just going to revolutionize so many industries. So it's really exciting to see people start to understand the new terminology and the new opportunities that are coming from not just crypto, crypto's exciting, but also healthcare, medical records, supply chain. So many different ways that blockchain can be used to help create opportunities and solve problems and that's why I'm excited about it.

Brett Jacobson:

So blockchain technology's being used in the healthcare staffing sector because it's critically important that people's qualifications, their credentialing, and all their information is kept up-to-date and kept in a centralized form. Right now, all that information is being piece milled out there and in the same way that data is different when you go from one doctor's office to their other, the same is happening with healthcare staffing in terms of personnel having their information in different places and their credentialing not up to date from facility or chain to chain. So we want to provide a resource where healthcare staffing companies provide that same level of qualification regardless of where somebody's being staffed.

David Moss:

EOS is a blockchain operating system. We are building our own blockchain technology and that blockchain technology can be used by anyone else without having knowledge of the blockchain. We're making it very easy and seamless for people to develop real world applications like accounting and entertainment, other things that they're typically already building and build those without even knowing that the blockchain exists. And so we literally are building a blockchain native operating system for other people to build off.

Tess Cacciatore:

So what's really exciting about being here tonight is about the blockchain industry and the ICO's positioning. I'm really thrilled because we are gonna be able to utilize the new technologies to bring new ways to be able to distribute content but also be able to find revenue streams to be able to help women around the world to create their own entrepreneurship, their own empowerment, and their own education.

Ralf-Rainer Von Albedyhll:

With NextRX we just launched our joint ICO, which is basically two campaigns at the same time for the medical marijuana industry. The objective is to let investors get either shares or to invest in RXChange medallions, which basically come with 5,000 RXChange points, which are reward points specifically for medical marijuana patients. Finally, they can pay for their goods when they order for online delivery or pick up right with the RXChange.

Nathan Chandra:

How you doing? My name is Nathan Chandra. Working on a really interesting company called Buttrfly. Yes, it is built on the blockchain. It's an influencing network and what we do is we allow brands to come in and pre purchase influencer actions in advance at bulk. And then we let influencers know where they're money's coming in advance. So there's different levels of influencers. There's tier one, tier two, tier three. We're not talking about the tier ones, the Logan Paul's and things like that. We're talking about the other influencers, have anywhere from 50 to 5 to 250 to 500,000 followers.

Stephen Meade:

Barter was the first form of currency. MonetaPro, what we have is a corporate platform for global trade for corporations. Basically, companies like Caterpillar, Ford, Exon, IBM, Wyndham, they all trade assets. So Caterpillar will have a billion dollars of excess inventory, they'll send 40 million equipment into China and get coal in return. It's a negotiated trade. We build what's called a multiparty closed loop system. Caterpillar can now sell the equipment to China, get a credit in return called a GBUC. Stands for General Business Usage Currency or Credit and that credit allows them to go buy assets from other parties on the network. So we basically are trying to monetize 17 trillion, trillion with a "T," corporate assets and corporate trading. These companies already trade, they already have trusted partners, they're just doing it manually. We happen to have a platform, sort of like a closed eBay where they can list the assets, sell them, get credits, turn around, and buy assets from another party.

We're doing an ICO. It's a relatively closed round where mostly strategics, corporates, family offices, and limited partnerships but it's a $35 million ICO. We just announced it last week. This is the second public presentation we've done for it and a lot of excitement. It's a global platform and a global opportunity.

David Moss:

We really strongly encourage people to find out all they can about the blockchain and about how it's going to change the world. We don't expect that everything is going to be affected by it but it's revolutionary and it's going to be happening all over the world with new applications coming out in the next couple of months through the next couple of years that will literally change the way that we do business. And we're looking forward to being a core part of how that happens.

Nathan Chandra:

We decided to build on EOS for a handful of reasons. One of them is that it's a million transactions per second. We really love the culture of EOS. We believe in Dan and the other things that he's built, Steemit, BitShares. The community, the things they talk about, the fact that they're giving the funds that they're raising back to the community to build DAPs. So we're really excited about EOS and we really believe it's gonna be a game changer in 2018.

Sean Goodwin:

Right now we're working on women in blockchain event to try to bring awareness to the community to diversity. For anybody and every body that wants to learn and solve problems, a lot of that's obviously right now through blockchain and crypto but there's other opportunities as well.

Tess Cacciatore:

I've been with Technology Arena since 1994, so it's really exciting to see the new "wild wild west" starting. I'm diving in, learning everything I can about this. There's wonderful people here to network so I'm in good hands to be able to find out where we're gonna go in the next phase but I'm really excited about the blockchain distribution and the [inaudible 00:07:12] that we wanna create.
