One of my first mishaps was early on when Handstand was a week or two old.
We had a new user book a trainer named David. Simple. Except our product was very new, I'm a one-person team, andddd some of the tech wasn't working 100%...
So after booking David, ALL the trainers named David were notified and headed over to the user's house (great trainers, right?) so now this user was choosing "live" which trainer he wanted to work with. There were only 3 named David at the time, so that's the silver lining?!
I found this out after getting 3 trainer confirmations after they had arrived (another delayed mistake). Thankfully, the user is an incredible man who laughed it all off and suggested this be our way of letting users choose their trainers! HAHA!
I quickly amended the situation and compensated all the trainers who made it out there. And the user came right back to the App to book another session. Phew. #ifeltsaved
My partners at Science thought it was hilarious...I was not laughing back then but #lessonslearned #mistakes #vital #laughitoff #relax
